2012 Harley-Davidson XL883L SuperLow
With an amazingly low seat height of 26.8 inches (unladen), the Harley Davidson XL883L SuperLow is a full-blooded authentic American sportster V-Twin that offers a comfortable, manageable and smooth ride for even the most petite road warriors around.
The Harley-Davidson SuperLow also claims the top spot when it comes to popularity among women in part to its balanced feel, mid-mount foot controls, smooth powertrain, responsive handling and easy-to-reach handlebars.
How Low Can the Harley-Davidson SuperLow Go?
With an operator of 180 lbs. on board, H-D reports the SuperLow bows another 1.3 inches to an even lower 25.5 inches (laden) seat height.
In addition to its low saddle, the bike’s wheel size, radial tires and front-end geometry all contribute to its outstanding maneuverability. When you have a well-balanced bike that takes direction, you’ve got a motorcycle that glides through corners and inspires confidence.
Highlights and Features
This 2012 SuperLow is equipped with new black side covers to match the bodywork finish and new paint color options and graphics. For a smooth ride, the bike has generous rear-suspension travel and Michelin Scorcher radials front and rear. For longer outings, the 4.5-gallon fuel tank with a range of over 225 miles per tank will keep you on the road longer with the big boys between gas stops.
The walnut-shaped fuel tank is low profile, tough, iconic and leaves even more room to show off the V-Twin. The tank graphic showcases the unique styling of the bike.
The silver, powder-coated engine with polished covers, chrome exhaust with dual staggered shorty mufflers and polished headlamp visor all add up the authentic American motorcycle.
The SuperLow is No Slow Poke
An air-cooled Evolution V-Twin powertrain with electronic sequential port fuel injection powers the SuperLow and rubber-mounts reduce unwanted vibration. As you accelerate through the 5-speed transmission, you can track your progress with a handlebar-mounted electronic speedometer. The H-D Smart Security System with a hands-free security fob is optional and available on this model.
Pricing does vary depending on your color preferences. The vivid black bike is $7,999, while solid colors run $8,299. For the two-tone paint schemes, you’ll be met with an MSRP of $8,499.
