Over the past 30 days, two events and the release of the 2012 second quarter motorcycle sales figures have generated a flurry of positive media coverage about women who ride motorcycles.
 
 
Women's Motorcycle Track Day at Barber
Sportbike Track Girl will host an all-women's 'Ladies First' track day on Monday, October 1, 2012, at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama. Free rental leathers are being offered for those who register before September 21, while supplies last. The cost to participate is $235.
 
 
U.S. Motorcycle Sales Up First Half of 2012
The Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) recently released motorcycles sales figures for the first half of 2012 and the news is promising. After five years of slumping sales and serious market shrinkage, the MIC reported that U.S. motorcycle sales are up 2.8% for the first two quarters of 2012.

2012 AMA Women & Motorcycling Conference
This year's AMA International Women & Motorcycling Conference will take place from July 26th to the 29th in Carson City, Nevada. AMA members can save $50 by registering online before April 30, 2012. The conference is an opportunity for motorcyclists from all walks of life to connect and learn from each other and enjoy the camaraderie shared by people who ride -- in this case mostly women.
